The Staff Selection Commission(SSC) will conduct a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ,C" Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Offices/ Departments of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Tribunals/ Statutory Bodies, etc., in different States/ Union Territories and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group,C" Non-Gazetted, Non- Ministerial post in CBIC & CBN under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

SSC MTS Vacancy 2025

The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2025 notification. There are 1,075 vacancies announced for Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN departments. However, the exact number of vacancies for Multitasking Staff (MTS) posts is still pending and undergoing finalization.

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Nationality, Education Qualification, and Age Limit are the eligibility criteria for SSC MTS 2024. Candidates can review the complete qualifying criteria as well as the age restrictions for various categories here.

(a) Nationality : A candidate must be unmarried male/female and must be :
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, UgaIBPS Clerk, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.As long as the candidate falls under category (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) above, they must be someone in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been given by the Government of India.

SSC MTS Recruitment Age Limit (As on 01-08-2025) 2025

The prescribed age limit under SSC MTS Recruitment is described below.

A SSC MTS candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1995 and not later than 01.07.2003 (both dates inclusive).

(i) 18-25 years i.e. the candidates apply for SSC MTS born before 02/08/2000 but not later than 01/08/2007.
(ii) 18-27 years i.e. the candidates apply for SSC MTS born before 02/08/1998 but not later than 01/08/2007.
For Havaldar - Candidates applying for the SSC MTS Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN must be at least 18 years of age and not exceed 27 years of age i.e. born before 02/08/1997 but not later than 01/08/2006.In addition to the above age requirement, candidates from restricted categories are granted an age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

SSC MTS Recruitment Educational Qualification (As on 01.08.2025)

Candidates must have passed the matriculation (10th Pass) exam or an examination of comparable standard from a recognised school.A candidate is not allowed to apply if they do not successfully complete the qualifying exam before to the deadline for receiving application materials.

SSC MTC Recruitment Selection Process 2025

Three processes will be used to shortlist candidates who are eligible for SSC Multi-Tasking Staff. A candidate must obtain marks higher than the declared cut-off in each step to qualify. The two steps that must be completed are as follows:

Stage 1- Paper 1: It consists of two sessions and the exam is a computer-based Test.

Stage 2 -Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test: This is mandatory for the Havaldar post only.

SSC MTC Admit Card 2025

The SSC MTS Application Status is made available by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) before the distribution of the SSC MTS Admit Card for each stage. No hardcopy or digital copy of the SSC MTS 2025 Admit Card will be mailed to the candidates; they must download it from the official website only.

SSC MTC Application Fee 2025

Candidates who fall under the SC, ST, PWD, or ex-serviceman categories are not required to pay an application fee. In addition, female applicants for the SSC MTS 2025 exam are not need to pay the application fee.
