PU CET (UG) Exam Details Overview 2026
PU CET (UG) is a university-level entrance examination conducted annually by Panjab University, Chandigarh for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) programmes and B.Pharmacy courses. The test is held in offline mode using a pen-and-paper format. Candidates must fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions to appear for the exam and seek admission.
For admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) under the Honours School System (4-year programme as per NEP 2020) and B.Pharmacy, the final merit list is prepared using multiple components:
- CET (UG) score – 75% weightage
- Marks obtained in the 10+2 or equivalent examination – 25% weightage
- Additional weightage for NCC, NSS, and similar achievements, where applicable.

PU CET (UG) Eligibility Criteria 2026
The eligibility for PU CET (UG) in terms of age and educational qualification is as follows.
- Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Class XII) examination from a recognised board or its equivalent. - Minimum Marks Required
For most honours science and related UG courses, applicants should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in 10+2.

- Board Recognition
The 10+2 qualification must be from a board recognised by Panjab University or equivalent recognised examination.
Note:
- If a candidate appears in 4 subjects, his/her name will be included in the entire Merit List. For example, if a candidate appears in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, his/her name will be included in all the Merit Lists wherever he/she qualifies.
- Candidates who is seeking admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) under the framework of Hons. School System (4 Years Programme as per NEP-2020) Mathematics only may appear in Mathematics only.
